Rule 207

According to section 260 of the Act, the local body shall publish a notice in the national and local newspapers in the name of the concerned person within twenty-one days to collect the outstanding amount.
(2) Before the notice of sub-rule (1) is issued, if the property in the name of the person who has to pay the amount or his family or such person has any amount pending with the government office or local body, the concerned local body shall stop it or write to stop it.
(3) If written to stop according to sub-rule (2), the government office or local body shall stop and give the information to the local body.
(4) After the deadline mentioned in the notice as per sub-rule (1) has been paid and after the property or amount has been withheld as per sub-rule (2), the concerned local body shall provide the details of Schedule-76 to the district administration office.
(5) After receiving the details as per sub-rule (4), the district administration office shall collect the said amount within one year and provide it to the local body in accordance with the prevailing law.
(6) According to this rule, the amount equal to one percent of the amount to be collected shall be provided by the local body to the district administration office as a lump sum for administrative expenses.
(7) According to this rule, up to one percent of the amount collected, up to one percent of the amount will be provided to the police personnel assigned to the said work and up to one percent of the amount to the employees of the district administration office, on the recommendation of the head of the said agency, the local body may provide as a reward.
